Abstract
The Effectiveness of YouTube in the Development of Achievement Among Students in the Course of Scientific Concepts in the Faculty of Educational Sciences / University of Mutah
The aim of the research is to identify the effectiveness of YouTube in academic achievement among students of the course (scientific concepts), Mu'tah University / Jordan. The research used of the experimental method. The study population is also composed of all the classes in which students were registered for the Scientific Concepts course during the second semester of the academic year 2019/2020. The research sample consisted of (64) male and female students enrolled in the Scientific Concepts course divided into two divisions: The first is experimental which is consisted of (29) male and female students who studied the course using YouTube. The second was a control group that consisted of (34) students who studied the course in the traditional way. The research tools consisted of a pre-and post-achievement achievement test for the experimental and control groups. The results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between the mean of the experimental group and the control group in the impact of using YouTube on the achievement of the students in the course of scientific concepts in favor of the experimental group. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributable to the gender variable and the school year in the effectiveness of using YouTube on the achievement of the students in the course of scientific concepts.
