ملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقصي مستوى الذكاء الانفعالي وعلاقته بمهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي لدى طلبة جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية في الأردن. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (622) طالباً وطالبةً من طلبة مركز الجامعة بمدينة السلط في الأردن. استخدم في هذه الدراسة مقياسان هما: مقياس الذكاء الانفعالي، ومقياس مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي. أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن مستوى الذكاء الانفعالي لدى طلبة جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية مرتفع. وإلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الذكاء الانفعالي لدى طلبة الجامعة تعزى للنوع الاجتماعي لصالح الإناث، وللتخصص لصالح طلبة التخصصات الإنسانية. وإلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائياً بين الذكاء الانفعالي ومهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات أهمها ضرورة تدعيم الذكاء الانفعالي لدى طلبة التخصصات العلمية بشكل عام والطلبة الذكور بشكل خاص من خلال التركيز على الأنشطة والبرامج التعليمية التي تساعد على تطوير مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي.

 

 

 

 

Emotional Intelligence and its Relationship with Metacognitive Thinking Skills of Balqa Applied University Students in Jordan

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the level of emotional intelligence and its relationship with metacognitive thinking skills among Balqa Applied University students. The sample consisted of (622) male and female students in the center of the university in Salt city in Jordan. To collect the data, a scale of emotional intelligence and metacognitive thinking skills was used in this study. The results of the study revealed that Balqa Applied University students showed a high level of emotional intelligence. The results also revealed that there are statistically significant differences in the emotional intelligence between male and female students in favor of female students. The results also revealed there are statistically significant differences in the emotional intelligence between humanities and scientific colleges students in favor of humanities colleges students. The results also showed there is statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and metacognitive thinking skills. In the light of these results the researcher recommends that emotional intelligence skills among scientific disciplines students especially males should be supported.
