Abstract
The Impact of the Educational Podcast in Developing Quranic Recitation Skills (Tajweed) among Eighth Grade Students in the Southern Mazar District
Abstract
The study aims at revealing the impact of the educational podcast in developing Quranic recitation (Tajweed) skills of eighth grade students. The sample of the study consists of 44 eighth grade students at the Model School of Mutah University, which is affiliated to the directorate of education at Southern Mazar District. The study was undertaken during the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020. The students have been randomly devided into two main groups: the experimental group, which consists of 22 students, and the control group , which also consists of 22 students. The researcher has developed a performance test for the skills of Quranic recitation (Tajweed) with a reliability coefficient of 0.82. The study proved the effectiveness of the educational podcast in developing Quranic recitation (Tajweed) skills for Eighth grade students, and explained a variance of 54.6% in developing Quranic recitation (Tajweed) skills.
