Abstract
The Effect of Using Self-Questioning Strategy in Developing the Reflective Thinking Skills among 7th Grades Female Students
This study aimed mainly at investigating the effectiveness of self-questioning strategy in developing reflective thinking skills of 7th grades female students. The Study used quasi-experimental, based on a pre and post test to collect the data from a sample of (58) students chosen randomly from seventh grade students in Ajloun for the academic year 2018/2019 divided into two experimental and control groups. The research tools and educational materials were: A reflective thinking test, a guide for the teacher to teach the selected unit according to the self-begging strategy. Their validity and reliability were verified by appropriate statistical and methodological methods. The results showed a positive impact of self-questioning strategy on developing reflective thinking skills. In light of these results, the study recommended that attention should be paid to applying the self- questioning strategy in learning and teaching the science curriculum for the basic stage.
