The present study aims at revealing the degree of professional competence among private kindergarten teachers in Amman city. The study depended on a descriptive correlational approach. To achieve the aims of the study, the Professional Competence Scale was developed by the researchers. The sample consisted of (32) kindergarten female teachers and (11) kindergarten female principals in Amman city. The researchers adapted and developed the professional competence scale. Then the researchers provided the scale to both teachers and Kindergarten principals. The most important findings of the study indicated a high level of professional competence in the productivity square at a rate of (84%) from teachers point of view and (65%) from the point of view of kindergarten principals. A two-way analysis of variance ANOVA was implemented to explore the effect of the educational qualification and educational experience on professional competence. The results of two-way analysis of variance ANOVA indicated a statistically significant effect for bachelor's degrees in the variable of the academic qualification and the category of 5-10 years of experience in the variable of the educational experience. Finally, several recommendations were provided in light of the study results, including conducting more future studies on the professional competence of kindergarten teachers.
