Abstract
The Impact of Institutional Governance in Enhancing and Developing the Performance in the Departments of Education From the Point view of Administrative Leaders in Irbid Province
This study aims at defining the impact of institutional governance in enhancing and developing the performance in the departments of education from the point of view of administrative leaders in Irbid province. To achieve the purposes of this study. the researchers used the descriptive and analytical approach. The study community consisted of all the administrators working in (685) directorates of education in Irbid province. The sample of the study reached (250) members, and a study tool was developed consisting of two parts: The first measures the level of political governance and the second measures the level of performance enhancement and development in the departments of education. The results of the study showed that the level of corporating governance among administrative leaders was moderate, and that the level of the enhancing and developing performance in the departments of education was moderate. The results also showed that there is an impact on the level of application of corporate governance in promoting and developing performance in the directorates of education, in addition to the absence of statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample members to the impact of the institutional government in enhancing and developing performance in the directorates of education in Jordan depending on (variables of gender, scientific qualification, years of experience), while there are differences of statistical indication in the members’ responses depending on the variable of the job title and the manager's benefit. The researchers recommend that training courses should be held for the administrators in education managers about how to apply governance in their institutions.
